2017 is coming…Are you ready?

The weather is getting colder, we are actually expecting snow this weekend in Baltimore!

Christmas is 12 days away, the new year is 19 days away…this year has flown by.

2017 will be here before you know it, but are you ready for it?

Are you ready to reach your dreams and goals in 2017? What are some of the major changes you are looking forward to next year?

Here is a list of 5 of my own goals for the new year:

1) Submit articles to online magazines and maybe become a blogger or regular contributor for them

2) Reach out to more stylists, fashion bloggers, and people who run their own fashion related companies on social media and look into collaborating with them and/or becoming a brand ambassador

3) Redo/improve my blog and post weekly

4) Buy a new laptop and video camera to start working on my own youtube channel

5) Look into more fashion related events I can attend in Baltimore

There is a #1 goal that will also take place next year that I will announce early in the new year with all of the details in another blog post.

Stay positive as Christmas and New Year rolls around. You can achieve all of your wildest dreams and aspirations, just work hard at it!

Love Tati  ❤

10 Fun Ways to De-Stress

stress lessHello lovelies ❤

After this week, I have five weeks left before I will complete my first semester of my senior year of college! Super excited about that!

But with the end of the semester approaching, comes a lot of projects and papers and that can get very overwhelming. So in order for me to not want to pull my hair out before the end of the school year, I found ten fun ways to de-stress!

Hopefully these tips can help you stay stress free as well. ^-^

1) Use Pinterest: Pinterest is my favorite social media site.  You can browse funny images, health information, motivational quotes, images of puppies, literally anything your heart desires. Need inspiration, check out my Pinterest here.

2) Buy a new outfit: Who doesn’t love shopping?!? I always feel less stressed and happier after buying a new outfit. Buy that dress you’ve been considering for a while. Why not buy that new bikini and try to fit into it before summer. When you look good, you feel good!

3) Do yoga: Yoga is super relaxing and helps you stay fit. It is a really peaceful exercise and you barely work up a sweat! It will definitely help you forget about all your problems and calm you down.

4) Buy and grow a plant: House plants are beautiful and are scientifically proven to help keep you calm and healthy by being around them. Looking at and helping your beautiful plant grow will make you happier and give you a colorful house decoration!

5) Meditate: Sit in your room or a quiet place with soft music playing in the background and clear your mind. Just breathe deeply and try to focus on the sound of the music and relax. You will be amazed at how stress free you feel once your mind is clear and at peace.

6) Dance: I love to dance! Even if feel like you aren’t a great dancer, it will be fun to just turn on your favorite song and just dance around the house to it. You will be getting exercise and having a lot of fun and not worrying about anything.

7) Take the Positivity Challenge: For 7 days try to think only positive thoughts and try to see the good side of every situation. It will be difficult, but by the end of the week, you will start to feel happier and have a better and more positive outlook on life.

8) Give yourself a Mani/Pedi: We all love feeling pampered at a salon or spa, but who says you can’t pamper yourself! Grab one of your favorite nail polishes from the cabinet and just relax and do your nails. Make yourself feel super pretty!

9) Create a motivational/inspirational quote for yourself: Write the quote everywhere and remember to apply it to your life. If you have a constant reminder of why you should stay motivated, you will be happier and more focused. My new motto is: Changing negatives to positives ^-^

10) Take a relaxing bubble bath: Get nice and cozy in the tub with your favorite scented bubble bath and maybe even light some candles. Just try to soak and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Try all or some of these methods and see how stress free you will be! ❤ ❤ ❤

Natural is Beautiful

I decided to go natural in March of this year. Going natural is when a woman stops using harmful chemicals and perms in her hair and starts to big chopembrace the hair she was born with.

For years, I got perms because my mother made me go get them. Getting perms to straighten my hair made my hair break off a lot.

I was tired of having damaged hair and I wanted my hair to be healthier and grow longer, so this is why I decided to embrace my natural hair.

I did my research by looking at YouTube videos about natural hair, pinning pictures of women with natural hair on Pinterest, and talking to some of my friends and family members who have natural hair as well. All of that prepared me for my natural hair journey…so I thought.

Looking at videos and pictures is one aspect, but actually cutting off all of the damaged hair and getting use to my natural hair was a tough situation to grasp.

In March when my hairdresser finished cutting my hair, I was nearly bald. It took a while for me to actually like it.hair

I stood in front of the mirror for a while trying to embrace this new look, I came to terms with it and then headed out into the world. I wasn’t very confident about my new look, but I tried to stay positive.

Now, nine months later, my hair is the healthiest it has ever been and it is growing rapidly. I also inspired a lot of girls to go natural as well, which is pretty exciting.

My hair is very coiled and kinky, so it looks shorter than it really is. In the natural world we call that Meshrinkage.

I am excited to get my hair straightened with a flat iron soon to see how long it truly is. I plan on doing that in March of 2015 because it will be exactly a year since I big chopped.

It may be a lot of work to keep up with it, but I am happy that I embraced my natural hair!

*The pictures go in order from my big chop in March, to how long it currently is now 🙂

How To Wear: Radiant Orchid!

I recently found out that Radiant Orchid is Pantone’s Color of the Year. Yes, I am super late (11 months late to be exact), but it is still 2014 so this information is still valid!

Radiant Orchid is a mixture of purple, pink, and fuchsia undertones. I don’t personally own anything in this stunning color, but I searched around online (aka Pinterest!) and stumbled upon a few great Radiant Orchid finds!

Radiant Orchid Lipstick

I am not a big makeup buff, but I must say that this lipstick color is gorgeous. The orchid color blends with the models lips to create a lovely pink undertone. Also, I think that this color would look good on any complexion and is perfect to wear out on dates, to a party, or just to wear when you want to feel glamorous.

Radiant Orchid Pants

These pants are awesome! They are chic, cute, professional, and classy all in one! These pants can be dressed up or down and either way will still look delightful. A denim button up shirt and blue shoes, with those wide leg Radiant Orchid pants…flawless. Her accessories are perfect as well; she paired this outfit with a chic purple clutch and chunky gold and turquoise jewelry. Adorable!

I would love to own this shirt, it is so cute! The model is wearing a long sleeve, button up, collared shirt with dark jeans and boots. She is also using the half-tucked method of shirt tucking, which adds a touch of flare to the look. The pop of bling on the collar is a nice touch and overall this outfit looks simple, but also super fashionable.orchid dress

Radiant Orchid Dress

This dress is playful, but yet very elegant and chic. The Radiant Orchid color pairs well  with the beautiful array of flowers in her hand and hair. I love everything about this picture, from the beautiful dress to the way her hair is blowing in the wind.

Radiant Orchid…Hair??

Now, I could never pull off this hairstyle, but the model in the picture is working it! The beautiful orchid color might seem too flashy for some, but I think the color is stunning. When you see this picture you are drawn to her marvelous and bright hair, which isn’t a bad thing. Her colorful hair doesn’t take away from her lovely face or the chic dress she is wearing.

I hope you enjoyed this Radiant Orchid filled post! See what other pictures you can find that shows off this remarkable color!

Pinterest + Inspiration = Pinspiration!

PinterestI love Pinterest! Whenever I have the time to relax, I pin, pin pin! I have 25 boards on Pinterest, but one of my favorite boards is called Model Behavior. This board is filled with pins showing cute clothes, accessories, outfits, and shoes that I would love to own.

Here’s a peek at some of my favorite pins from Model Behavior!

1) I love this outfit so much! This outfit has a Snow or Ice Princess look to it. The colors are very crisp, light, and pretty. She layered a crystal necklace on top of a cute mint chiffon top. She paired the top with a white skater skirt and a cream belt. To complete this super stylish look, she wore gorgeous, silver studded heels.

2) This look is simple, but very elegant. This outfit can be worn on numerous occasions. It is simple and classy enough to be worn to work, but still cute and flirty enough to be worn on a date. The beautiful white and black polka dot blouse is paired with a yellow, pleated, midi skirt. What really made me fall in love with this skirt is the mini bow right around the waist. Adorable!

3)  This outfit is super girly and playful. The tank top is plain, but the lace back makes the top stylish and adorable. A big statement necklace isn’t needed with a shirt like this, so the simple, gold necklace works perfectly with this outfit. I love the skirt; it is a beautiful turquoise color and has baby blue polka dots on it. The skirt is paired with a brown belt, which accentuates her waist. Pair this outfit with cream or nude flats and it will look amazing.

4) This look is really preppy and I love preppy outfits! This is a very cozy and chic outfit. Tucking the white button up into the tan pleated skirt, makes the outfit look stylish and well put together. Once again, a brown belt is worn to help draw attention to her waist. A long, gold necklace is worn and worn over the button up is a cute oversized, blue cardigan. The black knee highs and oxfords are really what makes this outfit preppy and awesome.
