New Year News

Happy New Year everyone!!

2015 is going to be a big year for me because a few important events/milestones will be taking place this year. I decided to write a post sharing these awesome events with all of you lovely people!

Let’s take a look at my 2015 🙂

Completing college in December

This event is scary and exciting. I am graduating college a semester early, so that is exciting because I am out of school and into the “real world” before most of my peers and others in my field. It is scary because I don’t know where the real world will take me.  I will graduate with my B.A. in Communication Arts and a minor in Theatre. The career goals I have in mind are: Screenwriter, Writer for a fashion magazine, Wedding Planner, Interior Decorator, Reporter or Host, and/or Feature Writer.

                                                                      My three year anniversary

My boyfriend Shawn and I will be together for three years on April 25th. We met during our junior year of high school and during senior year we became a couple. We’ve been in a long distance relationship mostly for the entirety of our relationship because he stays in our hometown for college and I live on campus in a town about an hour to an hour and a half away. That might not seem like a very long distance but when neither person owns a car, an hour away from each other is a long distance. Even though we don’t see each other as much as we like, our relationship grows stronger each day. ❤

Turning 21

This won’t be taking place until November, but it is still a pretty significant event. Everybody calls 21 the “legal” year because this is the year where people can drink freely, go to casinos, gain access to more clubs, and much more. I don’t party often nor will I be drinking often, so turning 21 isn’t really a big deal to me. It’s just another year older and another year wiser, with the perk of getting more “adult” privileges.

 Going to driving school

This event is long overdue. I wanted to go to driving school and have my license during high school, but there was a lot going on and finances were tight so I wasn’t able to attend. But luckily things are better now and I have the money to afford to go. Going to driving school is super important to me because as a Communication Arts major, most of the jobs I am looking into require traveling to places and if I don’t have my license I lose out on a lot of opportunities. I hope to own my first car by the end of this year or the start of next year!
