What I Wore Wednesday

Happy hump day! I hope your week has been great and productive so far.

Today, I am showcasing an outfit I wore to work recently. As some of you may know, I currently work at Nordstrom and specifically in the Young Contemporary department also known as YC.

YC consists of three subcategories/brands: Savvy, Brass Plum/BP, and Topshop. Savvy has special occasion items such as dresses, jumpsuits, and blazers.

BP, a Nordstrom exclusive brand, has everyday wear such as sweaters, tshirts, blouses, and jeans. BP also carries dresses, but are more casual than the Savvy dresses.

Topshop, one of my favorite brands, carries a mix of BP and Savvy-esque items. It is a trendy, low price, but high fashion brand.

Topshop carries everything from leather jackets, to sequined dresses, to embroidered jeans, to fur vests! Anything trendy and up and coming in the fashion world Topshop has.

Working in YC allows me to dress more casual than I would have to dress if I was in another department, but also allows me to be trendier. The outfit seen throughout the post definitely represents what YC is all about.

I paired a Forever 21 Rugrats bodysuit with super comfy green cropped ASOS pants. To add more color to this look and accent the colors on my bodysuit I wore a lightweight linen Halogen cardigan as a layering piece.

To wrap up my look, I paired the outfit with red TOMS. What do you think about this look? And I hope you learned something new about YC brands!

Have a wonderful rest of your week lovelies.

Casual Chic Look

Who doesn’t love looking stylish while still being comfortable? I know I do! So, in this post I will show you my casual chic look.

In my hair I am wearing a silver, studded headband and for my jewelry I am wearing two pearl bracelets and two earrings. I recently purchased this hooded sweatshirt with the words Tokyo on the front and sleeves.

I am totally addicted to this sweatshirt because it is warm, stylish, and also very comfortable. I paired my Tokyo sweatshirt with gray skinny jeans.

Skinny jeans can be dressed up or down and that’s what makes them awesome pieces. I then finished my outfit off with black booties!

They have a small heel on them and they come to my ankle. They are easy to walk in and make me look and feel super chic.

This outfit is comfortable, laid-back, and stylish…a perfect Casual Chic Look ❤

Fall Fashion at Forever 21

Forever 21 is one of my favorite clothing stores. The clothes there are not only stylish and colorful, but also affordable!Forever21-400x253

As we all know, the fall weather is slowly creeping up on us. Nobody wants to get sick, so when the weather gets colder, layers have to be worn.

If you think that wearing layers will make you look frumpy or unflattering, think again. There’s a lot of fashionable fall clothes at Forever 21 that will keep you warm and looking fabulous.

If you plan on going shopping for a new fall outfit, it would be a great idea to buy tall boots, leggings, and sweaters! I own all three articles of clothing and I can definitely say that they are perfect for the fall weather.

I brought a green, oversized knit sweater at Forever 21 and it is my favorite sweater. It not only keeps me from catching a cold, but it is also comfortable.

Oversized sweaters are usually loose fitting, long, and made of knit. They are perfect for chilly fall days.

You can lounge around in the house with them or you can go to Starbucks and buy a latte in them. Whether you are in the house or out and about, I think that sweaters look best paired with jeans or cute leggings.

Leggings are probably the article of clothing that I have the most of because you can literally pair them with anything. I’ve worn them with shirts, jackets, sweaters, and even dresses.

I prefer patterned leggings, but solid colored leggings work best for creating an outfit.
