There are so many exhibits to explore and sights and activities to partake in, it is truly perfect for any couples, friends, or families who want to have some educational fun.

Now for my outfit! I wore a white Misguided blazer dress which I adored.

The dress had gold buttons which popped against the crisp white dress. I paired this look with pearl bracelets and earrings, MAC lipstick, and my red Topshop mules.

Sweater Dress Selfie

Two weekends ago my roommate, a friend of ours, our friend’s roommate, and I went to a Halloween dance on my college campus.sweater dress

It was quite chilly that night so instead of wearing costumes for the dance, we all thought it would be cool to wear super classy sweater dresses with heels. I must admit, we looked great!

In this post is two of my favorite “sweater dress selfies” from that night. I purchased this lovely sweater dress from a cute store called Strawberry.
sweater d2The dress is a deep burgundy color with a silver zipper. It is long sleeve and went a little past my knees and cinched in a bit there.

I love this dress because it is very slimming and super warm. Perfect for a fall night out or even a date night dinner with your significant other.

I paired my sweater dress with black ankle booties. Since the dress is so long, I figured shoes or heels that stopped at my ankle would be perfect.

I still have my long Marley twists in my hair as well. I styled them in a big half bun half down up do.

I also wore small black earrings and light lip gloss to finish off the look. It was a great night and I was not only super stylish, but also warm and cozy!

Have a fantastic week everyone. Stay beautiful! ❤

New Piercing!

piercingHappy Hump Day everyone!

This post is long overdue, but better late than never! I got a second piercing in my ear the week before Christmas and it was a birth-mas (Christmas and Birthday lol) gift from my lovely boyfriend.

I’ve wanted a second piercing for a very long time, but for some reason I was so scared and hesitant about getting it done. I was scared because I am a baby when it comes to pain, but luckily it only felt like a little pinch.

I was hesitant about getting it done because when I was younger my mother was firmly against getting any more piercings than one in the ear and no tattoos or anything like that.

A funny story about my first piercing: For my fifth birthday my dad took me to get my ears pierced (withoutkeep-calm-and-love-earringst my mother’s consent!), so she said he brought me through the door and she saw my ears sparkling.

Of course, they are sparkling because I now have two shiny earrings in my ear. My mother didn’t get upset, which was good ^-^

I got my second piercing without my parents knowing about it. I came in the house the night I got them pierced and showed my dad first.

He said that they looked nice and we talked a bit about where I got them done at and all that fun stuff.

My mom overheard us talking and I hear her yell from her bedroom: “what did you do!” And I walked in and showed her my new piercing and she didn’t get upset or anything and said she liked them.
love yourself
Then my dad walked in and said that my new piercing was a surprise, just like the first one and we all laughed together.

I love my second piercing and I can’t wait to buy new earrings and play around with different looks.

What piercings do you have or are interested in getting? I think my two piercings is enough for me ^~^ ❤

How To Wear: Marsala!

It’s 2015, so that means that there is a new color of the year! Pantone’s Color of the Year is Marsala!

Now if you looked at the word “Marsala” and thought what the heck does that color look like, you are not alone! I had no idea what Marsala was until I read more about it and looked at pictures.

Pantone describes Marsala as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” Since you now have an idea of what color Marsala is, let’s look at how to wear this elegant color.

Marsala Earrings

These Marsala chandelier earrings are extremely high fashion. Adding these elaborate dangling earrings will take any outfit from basic to sophisticated. You wouldn’t even need to pair these earrings with a necklace because the earrings alone make for a gorgeous accessory.

Marsala Dress

This dress is definitely a show stopper. Its a party dress or night out with the girls dress.  Pair this dress with sparkly pumps or stilettos and it would be a perfect, fun, and flirty outfit. When you wear this super sparkly dress, all eyes will be on you. The Marsala color also adds a touch of elegance and class to this dress.

Marsala Nails

I love polishing my nails and I really love nails with designs on them. In the picture, a variety of designs are shown, such as Marsala in bloom, which is a Marsala coating with white flowers painted on it. Another design is Marsala Chevron, which is a Marsala coating with a white chevron design on it. Marsala Stripe is a Marsala coating with white stripes on it. And the final design is Marsala Mirage, which is my favorite and is a white coating with Marsala circles of varying sizes on it.

Marsala Shoes

The second sparkly item on this list are these awesome Marsala shoes. They look like oxfords, but have a nice white wedged heel added to it. You can wear these shoes with a chic cardigan, a button up, and jeans to create a preppy look. You can also wear these shoes with a pant suit or a skirt and blazer to crest a stylish professional look. The possibilities of how you can dress up or down these shoes are endless.

Marsala…Dog Bowtie??

I think it is super cute when people dress up their pets. I want a male Yorkie and when I get him I am definitely dressing him up in chic dog clothes. I would love for my dog to wear this pretty Marsala bow tie. Maybe for a special occasion such as his birthday or if he is part of a wedding party, but he would definitely be the talk of the (dog) town if he wears this. Add a cute little top hat and your pet will look even more adorable.

I hope you enjoyed this Marsala filled post! See what other pictures you can find that shows off this gorgeous color!
